It is the beginning of August! Time passes so fast. I was off-line for a month and it went like a blink of an eye.
Everyone has been complaining about the weather. It is unpredictable. I don’t mind rain or cloudy skies. My concern is: dearest Summer, please, don’t leave us yet!
Everyone has been complaining about the weather. It is unpredictable. I don’t mind rain or cloudy skies. My concern is: dearest Summer, please, don’t leave us yet!
You are so beautiful and vital! And abundant with fragrant herbs, vegetables, fruits and berries.
Your rapeseed fields have the softest hue of yellow.
A little is needed for a tasty soup: freshly picked kale, mixed herbs, green lentils, olive oil, salt and simple spices. Edible flowers and weeds add flavour and character.
Daisies, bluebells and clovers, among other natural gems, make the most valuable jewellery.
Oh, Summer, you are a leisurely treasury.
Around sunrise you cover lakes, rivers and valleys with mist. Your silence is broken by the awakening of birds.
My favourite time to greet you is before 5 am. You push the sun to remove ignorance, and to illuminate.
The play of light performs and paints.
You make all colours and patterns look compatible.
Your warm wind perfumes.
Tarts and cakes embody you.
Forest blueberries and garden currants are hidden inside a home-milled, wholegrain crust and covered with organic cream.
Please, stay a little longer! Let us breathe your greenness until you wilt away.
Thank you.
Fabulous clicks! Yes, time passes so fast... I'm also afraid that summer leaves us soon. The trees are already turning and that's too early!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Rosa

ReplyDeletebeautiful pics laxmi. i really liked the cups on top of the other with the red soup or drink... whatever is inside the cups.. i was wondering how you managed to keep the cups on top of each other.
i am so scared to do all these things... just so... so that i don't create a big mess and then i have only myself to clean everything :-)
Wonderful blog, lovely pics, delicious recipes...

ReplyDeleteDassana, you are right about the mess! It happens often that something goes wrong and requires cleaning. This time though, the cups behaved :-).
Ann - thank you. Finland is a pretty mysterious place, especially in the summer. Very beautiful. I hope you are having a great summer, too.
Beautiful pictures! I was taken aback by the flowers in the hair picture. Awesome. And that tart! It looks amazingly whole grain. People have been complaining about the weather here non-stop. It rains almost every day and when it does get hot, like it's supposed to in summer, people then complain that it's too hot. I don't care. I'm just happy we have fruit. :)
ReplyDeleteDelicioso como siempre, todo el post emana paz y elegancia!!

please share the recipe of the salad in the glass with us! thanks and om...
ReplyDeleteFloweriness - On the bottom of the glass there is yogurt, black pepper, hing, salt and olive oil. On the top there is lettuce, herbs and flowers. It is the kind of thing you just put together and add anything edible found in the garden :-) The flowers seem to be oregano (pinkish), cilantro (white), rosemary (violet) and wild rose petals.
